## WhatsApp: decide before you pay

**Does paying for one WhatsApp SMS buy continued control of its account number?**

No. SMSTempo sells a time-limited activation. If your WhatsApp use needs a number you own and can retain, choose continuing number access; crypto payment or no KYC cannot replace that requirement.

## Start with the time you need

One SMS can complete an immediate step only when WhatsApp offers SMS to a new number and accepts the assigned line. If your account will need the same phone on a later login, choose a number you can retain. If a code is addressed to a number already attached to an account, a new activation cannot receive that old number’s message.

## Start with WhatsApp’s number rules

WhatsApp says the registered number must be active, owned by you and able to receive calls and texts. It lists VoIP, toll-free, premium and universal access numbers as unsupported; ordinary WhatsApp also excludes landlines. WhatsApp Business has different landline guidance. A directory label, country and visible quote cannot certify that a supplier number meets these requirements.

If WhatsApp refuses the number before offering a code, an SMS order cannot turn that refusal into a delivery issue. Read its exact prompt and the current registration help before paying for another attempt.

## Choose a pair for the actual registration form

Select the country in WhatsApp’s form, then use the same country in the SMSTempo directory. Follow the form’s international-number instructions without repeating a prefix supplied by its country selector. If a shared calling code covers multiple countries, match the country itself rather than only the first digits.

The directory can show WhatsApp as a service even with no available offer for your chosen country. Add opens that pair in the dashboard for current stock and price review; only a separate confirmation places an order. The minimum account top-up adds credit and is not one activation’s price.

## What happens after assignment

A successful order gives you a number and a displayed expiry. Enter the assigned number in WhatsApp and request its SMS registration code. Watch the SMSTempo SMS tab while the order is active. WhatsApp may show a call option later, but an SMS activation should not be treated as a voice-capable line unless the actual offer says so.

If WhatsApp rejected the number type, do not wait for a message it did not send. If it reported sending a text, compare the exact number and country with the order and follow WhatsApp’s retry timer.

## Keep the account reachable

A one-time activation expires. It does not satisfy WhatsApp’s ongoing ownership requirement or guarantee another code on the same number after a device change. For an account you expect to keep, choose a line you can continue to control. A new temporary number also cannot receive a code already addressed to your old registered phone.

For an unanswered order, read its recorded cancellation or expiry outcome. Any eligible SMSTempo credit concerns the order charge, not WhatsApp’s account decision.

**Does WhatsApp accept every temporary number?**

No. WhatsApp restricts several line types and decides whether a particular number qualifies.

**Can I use a landline?**

**Will the order receive a voice call?**
