Signal: decide before you pay
Does a Signal PIN give me continued access to a temporary SMS number?
No. Account credentials do not extend a SMSTempo activation or reserve its number for another device. Plan a retained line when later registration or account access needs it.
Start with the time you need
One SMS can complete an immediate step only when Signal offers SMS to a new number and accepts the assigned line. If your account will need the same phone on a later login, choose a number you can retain. If a code is addressed to a number already attached to an account, a new activation cannot receive that old number’s message.
Know which code Signal needs
Signal’s phone registration asks for a number able to receive SMS or a call and then sends a verification code. Signal’s PIN is not that SMS code: its help describes it as a way to recover profile information and, when enabled, protect registration. Buying an SMS activation does not supply or reset the PIN.
Signal may offer a call after its timer, but an SMS-only order should not be assumed to receive voice calls. Follow the route supported by the actual offer and by Signal’s screen.
Choose a country for the registration number
Filter Signal in the SMSTempo directory and select the country matching its phone entry. Follow Signal’s international format; a country selector may already supply the prefix, and a domestic leading zero may not belong in the international field. A directory service label is not a promise of Signal acceptance.
A current supplier offer must exist for the exact pair before purchase. Add carries your choice to the dashboard for stock and price review. It does not assign a number or debit account credit.
The assigned number has a time window
After a successful order, the number and its actual expiry appear in the SMS tab. Enter the number in Signal’s registration flow, request the SMS there and follow the order while it is active. Signal controls whether it sends the code and whether the number completes registration.
If Signal rejects the number outright, read its message rather than waiting for a text. If it says a code was sent, compare the country and exact digits to the order. An eligible no-message cancellation or expiry may return the order charge to account balance.
A PIN does not preserve a lost phone number
Signal’s change-number instructions and device moves can create a later need for a reachable number. A one-time activation cannot promise that same line after expiry. For an identity you intend to keep, select a number you can continue to control and understand the separate PIN and backup choices. A new number cannot receive an SMS addressed to an old registered number.
