What an expired SMS order means
The expiry displayed on the assigned order has passed. Read its final state before deciding whether another request makes sense.
An expired activation does not preserve future access to the assigned number.
Which clock expired?
An SMS activation has its own actual expiry after number assignment. The completed order shows that value and its final status. A crypto top-up invoice has a separate 15-minute USD quote; that payment deadline does not define an SMS number's active time.
Check the order ID, assigned number and status in History. This lets you distinguish an activation that expired without a message from an invoice that expired before payment or a number assignment that failed.
Can another code arrive on this order?
No new message is expected through SMSTempo after the activation ends. A sender may still attempt to send to the number, but the expired order is no longer an active route to receive it here. Do not depend on that number for a later sign-in or recovery code.
The private History view may retain the recorded status and messages under the published privacy policy. Visibility of a past message does not extend the order's active window or reserve the number.
What happens to an unanswered charge?
An unanswered expired activation may be credited back to account balance under the server policy. Review both the order result and balance history for the actual recorded outcome. Account credit is different from returning a crypto payment to an external wallet.
If an SMS arrived before expiry, the no-message cancellation entitlement no longer applies. If you had cancelled while an eligible order was still waiting, that action should return the activation charge once to account balance. Do not infer eligibility solely from the absence of a code on the outside platform.
Should you place another order?
First check why the previous attempt ended. A different country might satisfy stock but fail the outside platform's country rule; repeating the same request might run into its attempt limit or number-type restriction. A new order also cannot promise the same number or a successful code.
If the previous state is unclear, contact support with the order ID. If the outside platform rejected the number, follow its official phone-verification guidance before spending more. For an account you need to recover later, choose an access method you control long enough for that need.
